I have had fuel problems lately and traced it to the fuel pump vapor locking so I rebuilt the fuel pump. In the process I managed to get some crap in the fuel line which went into the carb and choked everything up. I figured I would just rebuild the old 28 PICT again and be done with it. Well somehow it dawned on me that I had been running the 28 on a 1500 for years and always planned to upgrade. Ran out to Lighthouse and bought a new h30/31 PICT and installed it. The difference in power is unbelievable! Now that the old girl is getting enough fuel. I am still fiddling with the adjustments but I am having a little trouble figuring out the proper procedure for starting now that I have a functioning choke. Hit the pedal once to set it?

When cold, push all the way to the floor and then take your foot off. When warm, but setting for more than 5-10 minutes, hold 1/2 way and turn over. Warm and just restarting no sitting, should need no pedal.
