Mark, Try the VW meeting tonight. 7:00 08/09/04 at the valley library more info on this site. It seems like there are few good air cooled VW mec's in town and those few get paid well. Try posting what you need done on the site and I'm sure Spokane's budding VW population will jump right in to help. Bucky

So, what to they get paid to do a tune up? does that include a valve adjustment? If you don't mind me asking.

I had already done a valve job so they didn't have to do that, but they did a great job adjusting the dual carbs, fixing a manifold leak that I didn't know I had and replaced the plugs. Later I had them install a piece of rear engine tin that required removing the engine. The car ran like crap before and now she runs awesome, outside of some oil burning smoke, but that's ring related. Overall I was impressed with their work. I'd take it to them again.

I ask because, I have a friend that used to take her car there. She had them replace a steering box and a few months later dicovered they didn't put the lock plates back on and the box came loose and damn near killed her.
