Ok, the body is looking like a hood ride POS, but that's ok, as long as it's a runner, I'm cool with it.

I'm actually really glad I'm doing this all before any bodywork and paint is done, I would've totally jacked up any new paint by now.

Troy, here's that Berg system, now I need to figure out how to get the dang muffler on without screwing it up too bad!

Looks good, I like those headers with the heater boxes. Wish I got some of those for my bus.
So, I guess you'll be running in uhh.....week????
Don't forget to prime the oiling system before you start it!!!

I'm thinking March 8th right now. I might be ready this weekend, but you know how that always goes. I'll run into something tiny that'll stop the whole thing.

I just got some oil lines today. As far as priming, I think I'll build a charge canister out of PVC and put a fitting on the end to the oil lines, then in "theory" I can fill the canister with oil, then use compressed air in the canister to force it through the lines and into the galleys.

In Theory.

I ended up getting it running a month ago, but then I've been so damned busy at work and around the house I've slacked a bit.

Anyway, today I got the front end aligned a bit, tightened everything down, bled the brakes, hooked up a new tach and decided to take it around the block sans fenders, hood and Decklid.

I had to, the streets were bare and dry, who knows how long that'll last.

First impression, it's a different car, it looks like crap but feels brand new. Doodles along nice and quiet.

On my way back to the house I was rounding a corner in first and started to come up the hill. I decided to tap the throttle a bit...........it started to pull hard, next thing you know it breaks loose and spins.....I didn't go full throttle, not even close.............WHOLLY CRAP!!!!!!

Next on the list to purchase this week.
Seat Belts.....three point.
Traction Bar

BTW, posting pics as I remember to take them while I'm going through this.

Took it out for a spin today, still need the muffler reworked to get it to fit and need an alignment, but here it is.

Not to mention a penny or three.

Mighty fine job...
