When I converted to 12 volts years ago for whatever reason I took off the 6 volt choke mechanism and now I have no choke. Not a huge deal but anybody have any idea what I can use? The carb is a 28 PICT not a PICT1. I thought my car was pretty stock until I spent some time in the engine compartment. I did a lot of the work 15+ years ago and did not re-use all the correct parts. I have a 28 PICT sitting on a 1500 and there is an extra hole in my engine tin for some type of hose that I think was on a later year carb. I don't remember now why exactly I thought it was a good idea to put a 1500 back in instead of rebuilding the stock motor. My guess is that it had to do with limited finances and limited time. | Any 12 volt choke will fit the 6 volt diameter in a carb, just pick up a used one for a couple bucks, set it, and your done. |

The early 28 has a small choke, not sure if 12 volt was offered in that size. I have a couple for parts, if you want it to look like everything is there. _________________ TROY
