When I converted to 12 volts years ago for whatever reason I took off the 6 volt choke mechanism and now I have no choke. Not a huge deal but anybody have any idea what I can use? The carb is a 28 PICT not a PICT1. I thought my car was pretty stock until I spent some time in the engine compartment. I did a lot of the work 15+ years ago and did not re-use all the correct parts. I have a 28 PICT sitting on a 1500 and there is an extra hole in my engine tin for some type of hose that I think was on a later year carb. I don't remember now why exactly I thought it was a good idea to put a 1500 back in instead of rebuilding the stock motor. My guess is that it had to do with limited finances and limited time. Ramble.............

Any 12 volt choke will fit the 6 volt diameter in a carb, just pick up a used one for a couple bucks, set it, and your done.

The early 28 has a small choke, not sure if 12 volt was offered in that size. I have a couple for parts, if you want it to look like everything is there.
