Holy Crap! it's been three(3) years since I posted! where has time gone...

My '70 Westfalia has developed a bad backfire accelerating and decelerating. I've checked all the usuals timing, fuel pressure, and valve clearance. no help. That's the limit of my abilities. So I need to take her to a shop.
I was thinking of Hook's. Does anyone have any current experience with Hooks? Any other shops to recommend?

Hey Tom was just asking Dan how you guys were! Good chance its an exhaust leak. How old is the fuel? Hook's or Jimmy's new shop (Eurounion) could could help you out.

Thanks, Troy. I appreciate the feedback and the leads (and the PM). I will follow up on them.

I've been taking my 71 Bay to Hook's and have liked their work on my Bus.
Deer Park is suppose to have a great mechanic as well I am hearing.
Let me know what you felt about them if you have a moment.
Hope things worked out for you.
