Found this 1970 ay window on craigslist in the background of the original ad's photo. No motor but I'm going to make it a solid daily. I'll get more photos up soon.

Looks like Montana Red under the greenish color. Will you paint it?

I want the teal gone for sure. The inside looks like it was Savannah beige to me. Not sure if that was a stock color on Bay's or not. It is super solid though. Should be a fun adventure.

Yes, Savannah Beige with a Cloud White roof til the end of '70. You can decode your M code plate on The Samba.

Are the hubcaps painted or chrome? If selling painted hubcaps, I'll buy them.

Where are the m-code plates on a bay window? Still on the passenger side behind the seat? I haven't looked yet.

Haha the hubcaps are painted a weird chrome gray but they are starting to flake off and show the chrome under.

It's savannah beige on the inside of the doors around the windows.

Good looking bay window.

Should try paint stripping some to see if the original paint is in good shape.

That's what I'll try first. If the original paint isn't good I'll be painting it the original color again. The drivers side seat won't move for me to see the m-code plate so I'll have to check it out later. I'll get more pics up this weekend.
