Ok, it's Jonesy again. I'm slowly getting back into this and remembering slot of what I forgot in my old age. But I am having a clutch problem with my wife's Squareback. I replaced the throwout bearing today and it shifted a few time and now clutch pedal goes to floor too easy and can't shift. I replaced it because the old one disintegrated and bent one of the arms it mounts too. I bent it back as it wasn't too bad. I replaced the bearing and both clips. I have yet to drop the engine again but will be doing so in the morning. I would take any suggestions someone has. Pressure plate is near new and the clutch is also near new. Thanks for looking and thanks for the help. You guys aree much more expert than I am but I am getting there.

Feel free to call if it is quicker than posting. 208-640-9633

If it makes terrible noises when you push in the clutch, then that arm broke/bearing fell off. If it is quiet, sounds like a broken cable/hook at the pedal end.

Ok, clutch cable in tact. Pulled engine and bearing is still in place and not bent or broken and clips still in tact. Clutch and pressure plates look good. Engine is out and I am stumped. Any ideas? My wife and son are now getting down on me and all bummed out that I can't get it road worthy.

If anybody is in the Hauser lake area and want to take a look I would be more than grateful and so would my family. Thanks again for your help.
