We had a great time! It was cool to see so many VW's from Spokane hope we have even more next year! The combine derby was insane!

The run was super; I don't know what was better. Rolling with so many great VWs and owners or seeing the response of everyone who passed us. Was nice to put faces to names of Eric and Kaleb and to meet so many more... John from Newport and the guy who is truly the sunroof king. *How does your sunroof work?* *Great since I pulled all the guts out of it*
I am not good with names. Sad That bus picture is wonderful. Looking forward to seeing more!

That run was awesome! Sorry for holding up half the convoy up the hills!! My 40hp was screamin! I was able to get about 32mpg on the way there....but the side/ head winds were killing me on the way home...averaged about 18mpg! Kaleb and I were doing everything we could to keep the speeds upwith our 40's...but speedy Eric was cutting new land speed records in the bus!!! We're looking forward to the next cruise! Thanks to everybody for organizing such a great event!!

I had a heavy foot on the drive back, must be the bum knee after the 1am merry-go-round adventures.

Thanks to Wheezy and Melissa for bringing the camp fire, that LED light made the difference (anyone have a photo of that). Thanks to Kaleb for getting high centered on the rock. Thanks to Pat and family for the boxes of snacks.

I am tired!

My thanks also goes out to the club and Chris for putting this event together! It was a blast!

My other thanks go to;
The combine drivers
The sheriff that made fun of me
The people who would pass me, get in front oof me and then realize there's about 10 more vws in front of me to pass
The kid that left his fun mini bike in the park
The bbq cookers
And too all my friends that went, especially for not helping me open that hydrant

Kaleb....you know that's what I do for a living. Corey and I had a close watch on you, the crescent wrench, and the hydrant!!! I started slowing down a few Mph's to close the gap between you and I....that HUGE red Semi-truck got right between us....and was on my bumper before changing lanes!!! I lost sight of Corey and the rest....they were movin'!!!

Thanks for all the effort, planning and banner/streamer Chris and Jen! Thanks to everyone else for coming along and showing we are not afraid to drive our cars, in the rain even (some without wipers or a top even)!

"What happens in the city of Lind stays in Lind" is not a totally true statement. The sheriff told city hall about his chance encounter with the VW folks lol. I don't know if he told the whole truth or a sanitizied version but either way I get the opinion that we are welcomed back next year.
If we do the run next year I think some of the MCVW members will want to join in the overnight festivities if you allow them. LOL

You know the rule, if you make it, I will wear it.
