I am looking for an engine to replace my tired 36hp.
Wanted to go bigger, and convert to 12v.
Anyone have a running engine? 1600dp or bigger?
How about rebuildable ones?
Also looking for a synchro'd 1st gear swing axle.
Thanks

You need to find a 67 or 68 beetle box, 61-66 axle tubes, axles and brakes and a bus nose cone & hockey stick. This will give you the perfect gearing (with stock height rear tires) for a 1600 or bigger, and with the bus nose cone will bolt right into your early car. _________________ TROY

I have enough to build a 1600sp, or dp from scratch. |
