Hey there all! I just joined the site and I am excited to be apart of a community that shares an interest of mine. I recently bought a 66' bug and I am in the process of restoring her piece by piece. There are some pretty major issue: brakes, interior, suspension, bondo, floor board rust, and I am having a nagging issue with my right turn signals. They are not working! I have replaced bulbs, fuses, I bought a new 12v black box, and I have traced all the wiring, and still no luck! I guess that is why I am interested in a local club. A few months ago I joined an online group specific for 66' bugs and they have been helpful, however, it is different when there are people closer by that might be willing to lend a hand.

I will eventually update my profile, so here is a bit of info about me: I am 35, married, I have 3 kids (Izaak 11, Mary 6, and Maisey 7 months), I am a middle school teacher (math and science) and I coach alot of baseball. This is my 4th vw (a 75 super beetle, 69 sedan, 73 transporter, and now my 66'). We live in the northside of town, since I teach in the mead district.

I am interested in becoming more of an active member in the club and participating in any events in the near future. Plus, I am searching for a few parts as well as someone or a group I can bounce questions off of. Later |

				| Welcome. I am not a member yet, just on the boards here, but I do plan on attending the next meeting the club has to see what it's all about. |

				Welcome!!

I'm new, too. I recently bought a '69 sedan. I have a lot of big plans and a very small budget....sooo...*shrugs* I guess we'll see what does or does not happen.

I went to the last engine class and met some of the guys....very cool people!

P.S.

My turn signals don't work, either. Lol. So when I drive around everyone thinks I'm an ass.

Three cheers for not yet getting pulled over! |
