Hi
This is my first post on here and it's a little bit of a long shot but I'm trying to find the background on my 58 panel van, I can just about make out the signwriting which shows as

Ph Omak 844

I purchased the van from a Welsh guy in Canada, and I remember him saying it was a farm van from Washington state so now assuming Omak.

Here's a pic of how the van in now, it would be great to track down some history

Thanks for looking

Cheers
Stuart

Hi
The number will not show on a picture as it's too faint. I just thought someone might recognise the bus as it's got distinctive patina

All I can make put is

Ph Omak 844

Well, as I understand it, the old phone numbers had 2 letters, 1 number, then the last 4 numbers. So, OM8-44XX.
Do you think there are 2 more numbers?
Anyway, my point is I don't believe it has anything to do with the town of Omak. People just used a word with the 2 letters in it, I.E. Fairfield for FA, Banner for BA, etc.

Strange

The writing definitely shows PH OMAK 844 ?

The P, O, 844 are larger fonts

The H, MAK are smaller fonts buts still upper case letters.

So OMAK definitely 4x letters not numbers
