Well I found another bug I am going to keep this one for myself and fix up the 71 bug I have been driving for my daughter. It is a 66 1300 mostly stock and solid (if any one has a shift knob handle that will fit a 66, 7mm thread I believe, I could use it) it runs and handles great I am really happy with this find

Looks like a good start, also looks like a 66 not a 65. That style wheels and the 1300cc came out in 66, first three of the VIN would be 116.

Nice looking 66, I want one of those for a daily driver. As for the 71, I wouldn't waste any time or money on that car. Sell it and find another pre 67, unless you have a sentimental connection to that car.
I don't understand why people put money into those so called Super Beetles, its a piece of c#@p, but thats just my opinion.

Ouch! Laughing ^

It looks like a good base. The fact it is not lowered is a find in itself these days. Kind of a requirement for daily use in Spokane Smile

For what it is worth I like late models as well...

That is a good looking car. I looked at it when it was over in Post Falls. But it was not exactly what I wanted. I hope you enjoy it. I have a 66 also, Its been a great car.

Aircooled VW is what it's about. Who cares if it is a Super Beetle or just a type 1? Be proud of your 71.
