Ritzville works for me. Between the three gas stations there should be room for everyone. We can stage for the second leg of the trip by lining up along the entrance ramp. That'll make the WSP happy. |

I would love to participate in the run; unfortunately the existing lap belts in my bus are nonfunctional and illegal. Maybe next time! Have a safe and fun run. _________________ '70 Sunroof Deluxe

It often seems as though we are breaking the law just by driving them on public roads.
Lap belts will be OK Susan. Most police officers don't know the legal cutoff dates for shoulder belt install requirements. Ask me how I know.
I'm still fiddling with brakes on my 70, but the top is on! WooHoo! Now I will have a place to sleep on Saturday night. Gonna be driving it to work the next couple of days to shake out any little problems before the trip. I'm really looking forward to this. |

I have been doing a rough paint buff on the Bus, so it's not so dull. Did a valve adjustment earlier on the Beetle, changing oil right now, it appears to be ready.
I have golf matches on Thursday and Friday, so the VW's need to be ready tonight. |

I was planning to PM you, but I might as well throw it out here. Do you want me to bring the seats? Are you still interested? Did I remember to send you pics? I can be a forgetful son of a gun sometimes. |

Ritzville makes total sense as far as I am concerned... Gas stations, bathrooms and snacks... and since we all turn off there anyway good place to regroup if needs be.
Very anxious to check out other VW's to get/steal ideas...
My bus is running rich and is draining so battery/electrical is playing with me. But we will be there! |

We will be there too...74' Love bug is running really good, and I took the next two days off work to hopefully finish up the Kombi. If I don't get it done....I will reluctantly drive the 62'. King pin/ link pins are shot and it weaves at high speeds (52mph) We are camping too...lawnmower anybody? Hope tents are good....cause it's either sleep in the bus and get stabbed in the eye from rusty metal, or sleep on the ground and get stabbed in the back from a clump of weeds!!

pushing the current project out of the garage tomorrow to get the bug in there for some tlc before the cruise. I kn ow I will have my cooler and sleeping bag, so if you find a passed out kid under your bus in the morning make sure to wake me up before you run me over.
I will be attending the vintage bike swap at the swamp tavern at 9am on sat, but will be rolling out by 10 like everyone else |

I heard the bike swap starts at 8am, have not confirmed with Josh, but sounds right. We will be there sometime that morning. |
