This week was the begining of a sad period for me. I had to let Gordy go. Two weeks ago I had restricted his work to purly machine work.

It's sad, but the guy is 73 years old, and has had to realize....he's just to fucking old to work on cars full time.

He started forgeting the litle shit....to much....cost me alot of money in warranty repairs.

I will still accept machine work from him, but can no longer trust his work. If he does something at his house, at a very slow pace, his work is ok.....

I'm really sad, becuase he's the kinda guy that makes you wish he was your opa.

If I ever get to the point where I can consider myself half the man he is now, I would be proud.

He is truly and amzing person, and I will geniunely cry when he passes.

I stand in his shadow still hoping to fill his shoes.

hardest thing I've ever done.......

It doesn't get any easier either.

Have had to let quite a few folks go, in a corporate setting where there were hundreds
of employees, but it still hurt.

It must be much tougher in a small business environment, but like in either setting,
it is tough, and you sometimes have to make that call...
